Easy to shrug off the burden of accountability & ownership by blaming external circumstances for whatever we feel is lacking in our life and we think as though someone is holding us back from Livin’ la Vida Loca. The other extreme is to blame our own self for any damn crap happening around. Let’s talk about the latter some other day. Anyway, extreme approach to anything is harmful in the long run. Assuming that God-willing, we are all in a marathon and not sprint. Gradually, we understand that all shackles were built in-house. If we ever get that feeling that our life is going into a tailspin then it’s high time we look within.
We have built these prison walls in our heart and mind that is impermeable based on our level of rigidity. Free and save our-self from our own self seems to be the ultimate holy grail. Epic ecstasy moment is when we can make grand statements such as – Carte Blanche or nothing. We fail to realize that we can make such news worthy announcements anytime as it’s up to us to feel it and there is no external villain as shown in majority of movies. It’s only our thoughts wrestling among themselves than any macro factor occurring outside. Game was, is and will always be within our head and heart. That’s where the power lies.
We allow loads of non-beneficial emotional shit to stay rent free in our sacred mind. We are kaidi of our own resentment, anger, insecurities, ego etc. Again, intention is not to preach nirvana rather to propagate pragmatic balanced approach. Junk will be thrown at us from time to time and it is universal. No human is spared or is an exception to this rule. So, life is fair in being unfair to all. So, one more excuse for us to be up in arms by comparing to others is ruled out. Everyone’s life is up in the air. Up to us to grow bitter or better.
When we curb the two mahaan culprits called comparison and conditioning – we realize that there was nothing wrong with us or the world around. Killing comparison kills the concept of ideal person, utopian journey & perfect world that we should aspire for. If each one of us start to love what we have then we have everything. Basically, all of us are good enough. My all-time favorite line is “Whatever works for you” and the beauty of this line is – only the concerned person knows what works for him/her. They need not look anywhere else.
If we all start to feel the above line for ourselves and for others then intolerance can be minimized if not erased completely. Everything comes with a disclaimer. So, one can’t claim that killing or robbing people works for him/her. Barring such evident non-sense – it works across the board. We all judge people – few choose crass & gross ‘in your face’ way and few express through classy & refined choice of words and few keep it to themselves.
We get disappointed when others don’t react the way we wish to or as per our expectations without realizing that we are equally capable of frustrating others. Engaging our own senses to keep them stimulated is our duty. We all can create our own goldilocks zone totally different from others. Each one of us is a star in our own right. Sky can be dull, boring and monotonous with just one star. Sky can only shine bright & sparkle splendidly with galaxies comprising billions of stars.
Set yourself free from your own self to feel the magic and miracles of the universe which exists within you.
